In order to track and analyze YouTube Channels, Playlists and Videos, you must Authenticate the page in Canvs. Authenticating a page will track and analyze new content from your selected asset moving forward.
Select Social Accounts from your Profile dropdown in the far right corner of the application header.
Adding Channels and Playlists
Click on the YouTube option and then the + Add Channels/Playlists button.
You will be prompted to enter the page URL or Channel name.
Once the page has been located, click Add Channel/Playlist to add the page. channel/playlist.
Click on the YouTube option and then the +Import Video button.
Enter the YouTube Video URL of the Video you would like to track and then click on View Video Details.
Confirm that the video is correct and click Send Data to Canvs.
Confirm once more that you would like to import the video by clicking Proceed!
A message will appear to let you know that your data is processing.
You will receive a confirmation email and the YouTube video will be available to analyze in Canvs shortly after.
Please note: Starting on January 1st, 2020, YouTube will disable comments on any video targeting kids (MFK, Marked for Kids). YouTube's APIs will no longer return data for MFK Videos that had comments in the past.
