Visualize and Compare Filters in Canvs AI Dashboard

Updated over a month ago

We've enhanced our ability to visualize Filters in Canvs AI. This new feature allows users to visualize and compare filters or demographic data across batches of data (over time) or in aggregate, improving the utility of tracking studies.

Filters are now available for Treemap & Linear visualizations

Select the Filters Tab available at the top of the treemap

Choose which Filters to visualize

  • A dropdown menu will display all available filters imported with your dataset.

  • Choose a filter to make comparisons across questions, time, or waves.

  • Example: Compare age groups, dates, or other demographic data over different Waves.

  • Hover over or click on any section of the Treemap to display additional details on the verbatims represented in that section.

  • Verbatim insights will be filtered based on the selected filter in the dropdown or the selected wave in the Treemap.

    • Single wave filter (Timeline Element Selected)

    • Multi-Wave Filter (Treemap Element Selected)

When No Filters Are Imported

  • If no relevant filters were uploaded with the dataset, an “Element not available“ message will appear in the Filters Tab.

More information on The "Uploading filters to your analysis" section in the uploaders guide.

Benefits of the Filters Tab in Treemaps

  • Enhanced Visualization: Easily compare filters or demographics visually in the Treemap.

  • Tracking Analysis: Gain insights into changes over time with multiple wave data.

  • Improved Utility: Analyze structured data alongside open-ended responses for comprehensive reporting.
