Drivers are the top people, things, and themes that influence Emotional Reactions during a specific airing or airtime. Drivers can be seen under the Explore page or the Twitter Content Page.

Driver creation is based on a series of factors. To get driver information, Canvs checks the Gracenote service for a Program title match. Entities in Gracenote include data such as Talent, Characters, Hosts, Judges, Directors, Producers, etc. Canvs also can create Organic Drivers based on logic to determine if a Topic is a person as well as the amount of times it was mentioned.

Our algorithm also looks for known Brand and Product names and will create a Driver for these if they pass the threshold for Emotional Reactions. For most Driver categories, there must be at least 10 Emotional Reactions mentioning the person to pass the minimum threshold to be designated as a Driver.  Director/Producer categories needs to have at least 10 Emotions Reactions including their full name to be created as a Driver.

Example: For The Voice, the top drivers are Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, and Blake Shelton.

Note: Drivers are available as of January 1, 2017 on the Twitter TV Content Page and May 1, 2017 on Explore for Twitter TV.
