To integrate Qualtrics Datasets into Canvs, please follow these outlined steps below.

You will first need access to your Qualtrics API Credentials. You can find these in your Qualtrics account through the following steps:

  • Login to Qualtrics

  • Choose 'Account Settings' from your profile icon in top right corner

  • Select 'Qualtrics IDs' from the top menu

This will provide you access to your account specifics.


In Canvs, you will begin by Uploading either via the standard Upload Data button on the MRX Management Page or through our "Add Data" options if adding additional waves.

You will then be asked to choose your Upload Source. You can either upload the file via the Standard Upload option or directly from Qualtrics using the "Import" option.

After you select Import, click on Qualtrics.

Next, you will be asked to enter your API Credentials. Enter in your Datacenter ID and your Token. Click on Show my Surveys afterward.

You will be presented with a drop-down of your available Qualtrics datasets.

Select the dataset which you want to Upload into Canvs. You will also be able to see the # of Open Ends the file has as well as the Date Created. Click on Import.

You will then go through the Standard Upload process with your imported Qualtrics file.

Note, some fields are specifically ignored, including email address, IP address, Geo location, and similar as Canvs looks to avoid PII that isn't necessary for processing or storage.

Select your Header row, Open-Ended columns, Filters, Details, etc, to finish up the Uploading process.

Dataset Management Page

You can now also view and filter by Source (Uploaded from device, via Qualtrics, or API) on the MRX Management page.

To add as a column on your MRX Management page, click on the three dots (...) and make sure Source is checked.

To filter by Source, click on the "Add Filters" button to display the additional filtering options.


Profile Settings

To update your Qualtrics settings inside Canvs, or remove them, simply go to your Profile icon at the top right and select your 'Name / email' as shown at the top of the menu. You can also access these credentials under "Integrations".

You will see listed under the "Integrations" tab, your Data Center ID and your Token in the Qualtrics section.
