Canvs now offers the ability to reprocess a dataset (Autocodes & Rule Codes), Topics, and Emotions with the latest version of Canvs AI and your Rules.
Important: Any previous changes made to the dataset (e.g. renaming topics, moving codes to a different net, removal of emotions, etc.) will be removed. Edits will not be reapplied to your dataset and are not recoverable.
Reprocessing Data
Canvs now offers the ability to reprocess Summary (Autocodes & Rule Codes), Topics, and Emotions with the latest version of Canvs AI and your Rules.
Important: Any previous changes made to the dataset (e.g. renaming topics, moving codes to a different net, removal of emotions, etc.) will be removed. Edits will not be reapplied to your dataset and are not recoverable.
This feature is available on your dataset's Content Page. On the top right, click on the 3 dots and "Reprocess Data" from the drop-down options.
A screen will pop up that asks if you would like to Reprocess without Rules or Reprocess w/ Rules. You will also have the ability to select All Waves to reprocess or select specific Waves to reprocess.
Once you select which Waves you want to reprocess, choose between Reprocessing without Rules or Reprocessing w/ Rules.
Reprocessing without Rules
Clicking on Reprocessing without Rules will reprocess Summary (Autocodes & Rule Codes), Topics, and Emotions with the latest version of Canvs AI.
The following screen is confirming you want to reprocess your data. This will reprocess your entire analysis for any Waves selected. Any changes to Topics, Emotions, Nets & Codes will be erased. Click on Proceed to continue.
Reprocessing with Rules
Clicking on Reprocessing w/ Rules will prompt you to select your Rule Group(s). In order for Rules to be applied to your Summary, at least one Rule Group must be selected from the dropdown.
The next screen will be a preview of the Rules under the Rule Group(s) you selected.
The final screen is confirming you want to reprocess your data. On the left side, you can also see which Rule Groups were selected. Click on Proceed to continue. This will reprocess your entire analysis for any Waves selected. Any changes to Topics, Emotions, Nets & Codes will be erased.
Once you return to the Content Page, you will see a banner that says "Your Dataset is being reprocessed. No edits can be made until reprocessing is complete".
While your Dataset is reprocessing, edits are locked - you will not be able to make changes to your Dataset. All Metrics will be recalculated upon completion.
MRX Exports are also locked during reprocessing.
On the MRX Manager, while your data is reprocessing, “Edit details” and “Download analysis” options will be disabled for the dataset.
Once reprocessing is complete, you will see a notification asking you to refresh Canvs.
