A step-by-step guide providing Auth0 login instructions to the Canvs platform.

Updated over a week ago

As of Thursday, April 06, 2023 the Canvs platform will require login verification. This is a step towards stronger security for Canvs and for all users. You will have 2 options for two-step verification: Google Authenticator (or similar OTP App) or via Phone (SMS/Voice Call). A step-by-step guide outlining all available options is provided below.

Canvs Website: https://app.canvs.ai

When you visit Canvs, you will be greeted with a new Login screen.

Enter your Canvs Login details and click Continue.

Note: If you forgot your password, it can be reset by clicking on "Forgot password?". You will then be asked to enter your email address and instructions to reset your password will be sent to you.

The password reset link you receive should look like this:

After you Login / click on Continue you will be asked to add another authentication method to your login process. The 2 options are: Google Authenticator (or similar) or via Phone.

Option 1: Google Authenticator (mobile)

Download Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Open the app and select Scan a QR Code.

To establish authentication, you will be asked to scan the QR Code (example below) that is shown on your login screen using the Google Authenicator app on your mobile device. After you scan, the app will provide a one-time code. Enter the code on the login screen, click Continue and you will be granted access to the Canvs platform.

Going forward, when you try to access Canvs, the login page will have a message that says to check your preferred one-time password application for a code.

Open your Google Authenticator app to view your one-time code. Note: the code will expire and be regenerated after a couple of seconds.

On your Canvs login page, enter your one-time code and click Continue to access the Canvs platform.

Tip: Check the box “Remember this device for 30 days”. If not, you will be asked for another code next time to log in.

Option 1: Google Authenticator (chrome extension)

If you prefer to use Google Authenticator from your computer, a browser extension is available that you may use on either Windows or Mac OS provided you use Chrome as your web browser.

Navigate to your Chrome Extensions and search for and install the Authenticator extension.

The Authenticator extension will be available via the puzzle icon on your browser. Click on the icon and then click on Authenticator.

When you reach the scanning QR code step on the Canvs Login page, click on the following icon on the Authenticator extension. Doing so will give you the option to drag your mouse over the QR code to “scan” it.

You should see a notification that your account has been added.

Your one-time codes will now be available and shown to you when you access the Authenticator extension.

Option 2: Phone

To establish authentication via the Phone option, you will be prompted to enter your country code and phone number.

You can choose to receive the code via Text Message or Voice Call.

Enter the code on the next screen and click Continue to access the Canvs platform.

Note: The same phone number you entered will be used to receive text messages/voice calls containing one-time codes to grant you login access going forward.

Reset Multi-Factor Authentication Method

If you would like to change your MFA method on the Canvs platform, you can do so in your Account Settings. Click on the icon on the top-right of your screen and then on your email address.

Afterward, click on Edit Profile.

Under the Reset MFA tab, you will see a Reset MFA button which will log you out and allow you to adjust your Multi-Factor Authentications settings.
